Noah Slater resolved COUCHDB-865.
---------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

./configure is used to configure the build of the software and the installation locations.
It is not used to pre-configure the actual software. If you are trying to automate a pre-configured
CouchDB, I would suggest you write a wrapper script which moves the pre-configured files into
place post-install.

> More ./configure options

> Key: COUCHDB-865
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-865
> Project: CouchDB
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Affects Versions: 0.11.2, 1.0.1

> So for example ob Linux, this defaults file is written when CouchDB is installed:
> COUCHDB_USER=couchdb
> COUCHDB_STDOUT_FILE=/dev/null
> COUCHDB_STDERR_FILE=/dev/null
> COUCHDB_RESPAWN_TIMEOUT=5
> COUCHDB_OPTIONS=
> I'd like to be able to influence these things with ./configure.
> ./configure --couchdb-user=root --couchdb-respawn-timeout=10 --couchdb-port=80
