If you could let me know which tickets/tasks I could take a stab at...maybe just email me directly with a list. I wouldn't mind starting off with a few easier ones to begin with for now. I was a bit confused by this ticket because most of the other erlang projects I've looked at assign their own event handler to error_logger, however rabbitmq and yaws have wrapped their customised logging around error_logger_file_h but that seems to be due to get over some handlers not closing when swapping out.... Anyway if you have some other stuff for me to look at please feel free to mail me. Thanks Dip > The log process should use SASL for logging > ------------------------------------------- > > Key: COUCHDB-248 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-248 > Project: CouchDB > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Database Core > Affects Versions: 0.9 > Environment: any > Reporter: Ulises Cervino Beresi > Priority: Minor > > As it stands the log process is ad-hoc since it was written from scratch. Making it a wrapper around SASL (http://erlang.org/doc/apps/sasl/index.html) would be a good improvement. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - You can reply to this email to add a comment to the issue online.
