Subject [jira] Commented: (COUCHDB-248) The log process should use SASL for logging
Date Sun, 01 Nov 2009 20:39:59 GMT

Dipesh Patel commented on COUCHDB-248:

I'm new to couch ( and erlang ) and would like to have a stab at this. In terms of wrapping
the logging around sasl, should I just be using whatever logging module that gets set up when
sasl starts? Or should I be wrapping couch_log around a specific module.

 eg. sasl_report_file_h/error_logger_mf_h

> As it stands the log process is ad-hoc since it was written from scratch. Making it a
wrapper around SASL ( would be a good improvement.
