When I first read it, I thought the way the store and process their data
is very reminiscent of couchdb.

I could see a small C port, perhaps using sqlite as the backing store
could be very useful for small devices.

The replication would be the trickiest bit IMO.

What would you call it?  chairdb?  :-)
