CouchDB crash on large insert
-----------------------------

                 Key: COUCHDB-75
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-75
             Project: CouchDB
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Database Core
Environment: couchdb trunk patched with the json full text search patch using xapian
as an indexer.

            Reporter: Paul Joseph Davis

I've managed to kill couchdb with a crash. Mentioned it to jan and he said to post the logs.

I haven't seen this with running the xapian indexer, but even if that's the case it would
still seem that something is wrong to allow one of the external processes to crash the entire
erlang process.

Anyway, the log, an erlang dump, and the script I used to import the data that causes the
error fairly reproducibly will be attached.

The script expects wikipedia abstracts as input. They can be downloaded from:

http://download.wikimedia.org/enwiki/latest/enwiki-latest-abstract.xml

Alternatively they can just be loaded from the url, but I dunno if that will trigger the error.
