Subject [jira] [Commented] (CB-10841) Cordova crashes when the window is resized on Android N
Date Mon, 18 Apr 2016 23:02:30 GMT

Richard B Knoll commented on CB-10841:

I was messing around with Android N today (2nd developer preview) and I observed this bug
as well. It disappeared when I updated AndroidManifest.xml to add two extra configuration
changes to the list of ones our Activity handles ({{smallestScreenSize}} and {{screenLayout}}).
We need those two declared anyway in order to prevent the Activity from getting restarted
when the app is resized (according to [this blog post|]).

> Expected: Shouldn't crash
> What happens: Crashes miserably
> It's likely that the WebView wasn't tested and this preview all Cordova apps crap the
bed. This applies to the System Webview. I can't get Crosswalk to work with Android N at
all, so I'm not really testing it.
