Subject [jira] [Closed] (CB-10345) Date picker buttons don't use locale
Date Fri, 15 Jan 2016 11:42:39 GMT

jcesarmobile closed CB-10345.
    Resolution: Not A Problem

Native elements will be displayed on the language of the project, not the language of the
Cordova projects are created with just english language (it's the default language on xcode
projects, not a cordova thing)

You can add other languages adding this inside the info.plist (with a plugin or a hook)

or if you just want to support one language, but not english, you can change the CFBundleDevelopmentRegion
key inside the info.plist

> Make a simple Cordova app with just this:
> <input type="date"/>
> Switch your iphone language to anything other than English (I tested with French).
> Launch the app, and tap on the date field.
> You will see that the native date picker shows the dates in French (as expected), however
the buttons "Clear" and "Done" stay in English!
> On the other hand, if you open safari to
> Tap on the small date picker, and you will see the buttons are in the correct language.
> I've tested this on various versions of Cordova between 3.4 and 6.0.0-dev
