Don Becker commented on CB-8583:
--------------------------------

I am working on a simple app to reproduce the problem, but I think I found the issue. I am
getting an ENCODING_ERR for some reason, but when looking at the variables in the debugger,
it appears that my file name is being changed. I am trying to save a file to message.json,
but every time I run the code, it's creating a new file like "message (1).json", then "message
(2).json". Rather than just simply reproduce the issue, I am trying to find where in the
code that is happening.

> FileTransfer.download() does not overwrite an existing file on Windows Phone 8, as it
does on Android and iOS. The function calls the successCallback, but the target file is not
updated with the new downloaded version.
