Subject [jira] [Commented] (CB-2896) Multipart exif tags are not written correctly
Date Fri, 12 Apr 2013 15:18:18 GMT

Lorin Beer commented on CB-2896:

I like the method Sebastien, and it seems to work. I need to investigate the use of AlAssets
further, as when we first discussed exif support on iOS, we found AlAssets forced multiple
read/writes in order to imbed the metadata.

You can read the initial discussion on exif here:

Additionally, there is a fix for this issue for the existing code inbound, which means I'll
be closing this issue. I think your code has a lot of value, though, and it addresses a couple
more issues.

I plan on using your Geolocation functions to address CB-2905, and it would be best if you
contributed it yourself. Could you author another version of CDVCamera.m with just the Geo
functions, and issue a pull request against my mirror?
That way I can pull your contributions in under your own commits!

> multi-part (complex) tags are not written correctly. this leads to an exif string which
is of the correct size (and therefore is not reported as an error) but cannot be read back
