Subject [jira] [Commented] (CB-2679) add prompt dialog to Notification API for JS
Date Fri, 15 Mar 2013 17:08:12 GMT

Andrew Grieve commented on CB-2679:

Might be nice to have the first four parameters be that same as the other functions (put buttonLabels
before type)

I'd be tempted to leave off the password function for the first round of this. Do you already
have a project that requires it? Just seems like something that might be hard to match exactly
what the user wants. E.g., if you're entering a password, then you want only one text box.
If you're creating a password, then often you're in the context of a larger form that takes
a username as well. What if your password is too short, then do we add an error message function
right into prompt? Might be better to just leave this as a simple single text box.

Another nit is that we'll probably want the user to specify a default value for the textbox.
That's what JS prompt() boxes use their 2nd parameter for.
