I could take this problem to stackoverflow, but I guess they'd tell me it's= a bug and I should take it to the devs. Kind regards, Alexander -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- Von: Raghav Katyal [mailto:rakatyal@microsoft.com]=20 Gesendet: Freitag, 22. However I don't think this f= alls within the scope of Cordova, but an issue with the browser being run o= n Win8.1 phone. I tried to look for solutions and found some potential hack= s online. I think stackoverflow or something similar might be a better plac= e to take this. -Raghav -----Original Message----- From: Alexander Urban [mailto:alexander.urban@timeflex.de]=20 Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2016 12:08 AM To: dev@cordova.apache.org Subject: Windows Phone, platform "Windows" and icon fonts Hello cordova dev team, I have an issue with Windows Phone 8.1, the "windows" platform and icon fon= ts. Since wp8 is deprecated, I thought I'd better switch to platform "windo= ws". This came to a grinding halt because the icons are not rendered correc= tly. The issue first showed in Sencha Touch 2.4.2, but I have made a minima= l sample app to rule out Sencha Touch issues, which is available at https:/= /na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=3Dhttp%3a%2f%2fwww.sdfe.de%2fsa= mples%2ffonttest-cordova.zip&data=3D01%7c01%7crakatyal%40microsoft.com%7c6d= 08436656544290859c08d369b73316%7c72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7c1&sdata= =3DEzAOcnU%2bGjbDRNehTY%2bLrBE0lLMdISTf%2bH9O5Ctom9Y%3d The cordova version currently installed on my computer is 6.1.1 with platfo= rms windows 4.1.0 and wp8 3.8.2 (deprecated). For this test I just compiled the wp8 and the windows version using - cordova build wp8 windows then opened both solutions in Visual Studio 2015, set the "Windows Phone 8.= 1" in CordovaApp.sln project as my default project, and deployed the two pr= ojects to my phone (Nokia Lumia 535, Windows 8.10.14234.375). * In platform "wp8", the icon font is used to render the icons. * In platform "windows", a standard font is used (which looks reall= y bad with icon fonts). What should happen is that the icon font is used as well.
