A timeout can occur for various reasons, depending on network conditions and/or radio blockage. It is a bug if you change position and the position success callback never fires. I tested the full example code, and in between a couple of timeouts the success callback fires multiple times -- so a timeout does not necessarily stop a watchPosition call. > watchPosition example in PG docs eventually times out > ----------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CB-1674 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-1674 > Project: Apache Cordova > Issue Type: Bug > Components: iOS > Affects Versions: 2.1.0 > Environment: Tested on iPod 4th gen, iOS 6, PhoneGap 2.1.0 > Reporter: Kuan Yi Ming > Assignee: Shazron Abdullah > Fix For: 2.3.0 > > > WatchPosition eventually times out after 3-20 attempts.
