Subject [jira] [Commented] (CB-758) Remove use of the Xcode Template
Date Mon, 23 Jul 2012 23:15:33 GMT

Shazron Abdullah commented on CB-758:

If you use the Cordova.framework project, you are fine with the angle bracket headers only
- since they work both pre-2.0 or 2.0

> This will be replaced by command-line creation of iOS Cordova-based projects (which we
already have in the bin folder of the source repo). This will solve the Xcode 4 Template limitations
(www folder reference, sub-projects) and also help version management (through npm possibly).

> The use of a shipped binary (the Cordova.framework) will be removed, and since we would
not be shackled by the Xcode 4 Template limitations, a project will have the CordovaLib sub-project
added, which will help with debugging. This command-line interface will also allow devs to
create a GUI to manage this if they want to, but a GUI tool is not planned.
