Subject [jira] [Commented] (CB-11) come up with a new project name
Date Fri, 28 Oct 2011 21:56:36 GMT

Aaron Ackerman commented on CB-11:

That's a decent point, and it makes me wonder if there is one decision maker for renaming
or if there will be a community vote to decide a winner. I randomly submitted a name above,
but it would be better if there was a form to submit a name so we don't have to eventually
read through 200 comments to find the different names, and the comments are strictly comments
and not the options themselves. There must be one person that decides on the name or if the
name will be vote driven, it would be great if that person could comment on the process for
choosing the final name.

> During the transition of the PhoneGap project to Apache, the project was renamed to "Callback",
due to some concerns with the name "PhoneGap". It seems that "Callback" isn't a great name
either - it's a commonly used term, and so internet searches of "Callback" bring up too many
non-relevant hits.
