Now that I manually look at the continuum.log (rather than tailing it), I see:

Not sure what exactly he's doing, but it doesn't look like there's a whole lot 
of purging going on...

Can you paste the schedule configuration?  Maybe it's not doing what
you think it's doing.

/path/to/continuum/logs

Look for recently updated files.  It's probably in "continuum.log".
