It is "normal". Continuum use maven API and Maven API search settings.xml under current_dir/conf/
and ${user.home}/.m2/
current_dir is equals it $M2_HOME when you run mvn and $CONTINUUM_HOME/bin/linux if you run
the continuum linux starter
