Thank you for this.

It's not immediately clear to me how to set the  tempdir. Grepping for
"tmp", this was the only thing I found:

if [ -z "$PLEXUS_TMPDIR" ] ; then
  PLEXUS_TMPDIR="$PLEXUS_HOME"/temp
  mkdir -p "$PLEXUS_TMPDIR"


Any hints as to how I can change the tempdir?
