Subject [jira] (CONTINUUM-2585) Adding a maven pom via url with username drops query parameters
Date Sat, 31 Jan 2015 14:08:18 GMT

Brent N Atkinson commented on CONTINUUM-2585:

I can reproduce the issue locally using 1.4.2 and have confirmed that the patch addresses
it. It is worth noting that this issue is only present when specifying a username during a
maven project add. The URL is reconstructed to safely encode the username and password and
the code did not include the query parameters. When a username is not specified, the URL is
used exactly as entered and will not exhibit this behavior.

> This issue occurs when cvsweb(http/https) is the preferred method for retrieving remote
> In web interface, the import of a maven project via pom url fails, because the pom.xml
url is in the form:
> https://HOST/viewvc/PROJECT/pom.xml?view=co&pathrev=REVISION (real pom.xml)
> but the backend is retrieving the wrong pom url
> https://HOST/viewvc/PROJECT/pom.xml (webpage of pom.xml's revision history)
> The part after the ? character is truncated.
