LDAP user filter throws an exception

                 Key: CONTINUUM-2084
             Project: Continuum
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Security
    Affects Versions: 1.1
         Environment: 1. Windows XP SP2

2. java version "1.6.0_04"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_04-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode)
            Reporter: Tonatiuh
            Priority: Minor
         Attachments: continuum.log

After configured Continuum to use LDAP as authenticator, it returned a 1000 users, which is
ok, but I would like to reduce the users using a filter as described in
But every time I add the user-filter tag it gives me an error. Is there any particular format
should I type? I used something like this to filter

      <implementation>org.codehaus.plexus.redback.common.ldap.LdapUserMapper </implementation>
