Dan Peder Eriksen commented on CONTINUUM-1656:
----------------------------------------------

The error message is just fine. The problem is that it, in my case, sends emails every minute
even though there is no status change.

What happends in my case is this:
1. Continuum tries to checkout from svn.
2. Checkout fails
3. Continuum sends email
4. Continuum tries to checkout from svn.
5. Checkout fails
6. Continuum sends email

And it keeps going like that forever, sending email every single time it fails.

What should happen is:
1. Continuum tries to checkout from svn.
2. Checkout fails
3. Continuum sends email
4. Continuum tries to checkout from svn.
5. Checkout fails
6. Continuum does NOT send email, because it has notified about this error before.

> If subversion is not available continuum will continue to send an ERROR message until
it is available, even though continuum is set to only send notifcations on status change.
This resulted in 2400 emails during a night when the subversion repository did not come online
during a reboot.
> Build result:
> Provider message: The svn command failed.
> Command output:
> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
> svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/svn/xxxxx/trunk/sub-projects/email-service'
> svn: PROPFIND of '/svn/xxxxx/trunk/sub-projects/email-service': could not connect to
