Subject Re: Hipchat Room for Apache Women?
Date Tue, 14 Jun 2016 12:39:28 GMT
Hi Patricia

Personally I think that the mailing list is a better forum for detailed discussions. It has
the threaded structure and it's easier to follow discussion points and respond to particular
things that people have said. (We could use this list for those type of discussions as it's
relevant to developing the ASF community.)

My understanding is that the chat room doesn't really give us that and that it's more about
short fast dialogues, so I'm not sure how well it would work. (The main idea behind my original
suggestion was to use it more like a meeting place, and not so much a discussion one.)

Thanks
Sharan
