Few contacts still, but let's see. I posted mostly in case anyone already involved and around here would chime in. I'm trying to make contacts, not much success yet. But if the projects we are starting here last some time, I'm going to keep returning. Plus we are installing soon another clinics in Djibouti and maybe other countries in the area. I'm loving injera and fasting food, free of dairy protein, also fruits that are a pleasure for my poor digestive system. I love the technical challenges of IP networking with unstable grid and saturated routes. I love the weather, the colors, the alphabet. I don't love so much the beggars chasing foreigners, and the car and portable electric generator noise and pollution. Tribute of the economic growth, the grid in Bole comes down 2-6 times per day, and every single building has a generator that kicks in in 20 segs and is switched off about 5 minutes after the grid comes back. Other areas of the city are in a much better shape... I saw some interest in talking about community wifi and similar projects, though they have the same legal challenges we used to have (telecom as a monopoly, challenges of keeping infrastructure going...). Let's see what comes out of this :) Regards Santiago On Sat, Apr 2, 2016 at 12:48 AM, Louis Su=C3=A1rez-Potts = wrote: > We had a more or less vibrant community doing Swahilii, too=E2=80=94but i= t has, as far as I know, also declined.
