Subject  [math] Why do continuous distributions not have a density method

I note that the continuous distributions in the commons math package don't have an entry point to compute the probability density function. Clearly some distributions have some points where the PDF is undefined, but why is there no method for all of the distributions where it is defined? Is this a religious thing?  ted
