Can't you just do your own moving by using 
FileObject.getContent().getInputStream and getOutputStream()?  Then do 
your own copy and you can do all the progress monitoring you want then...

It would be nice if there was some way to add your self as a progress 
listener though to a filesystem/fileobject though.
