Subject RE: String[] to Set Converter
Date Thu, 01 Feb 2007 21:19:22 GMT
I don't use any component and yes I am trying to bind directly to a
Hibernate entity.

I think the problem in line 1004 in
org.apache.commons.beanutils.BeanUtilsBean.java

		else if (value instanceof String[]) {
               newValue = getConvertUtils().convert(((String[]) value)[0],
                                                type.getComponentType());

The bind actually happens but the set is populated only with 1 value. I
think that is because of ((String[]) value)[0]

What do you think?

                values[0] = (String) value;
                newValue = getConvertUtils().convert((String[]) values,
type);
            } else if (value instanceof String) {

What type of component are you using to "edit" your set? Are you
trying to bind directly to a Hibernate entity with a Set property?
