Subject Re: [scxml] null as return value from a method
Date Fri, 14 Jul 2006 12:37:49 GMT
Hi,
Welcome back!
You are right and I have been returning boolean for
example without any problems ... What I meant to say
was that given:

<n:assign name="result"
expr="myClassInContext.myStringMethod()"/>

if myClassInContext.myStringMethod() returns null then
you get something like:
"ErrorReporter @ EXPRESSION_ERROR
(java.lang.NullPointerException):"

This is because of an exception in
SCXMLSemanticsImpl#executeActions():

org.apache.commons.scxml.SCXMLExpressionException:
java.lang.NullPointerException

Thanks for looking at this.
