Hi Alex

Another way to do it is to set a system property when you run your 
program. Something like this (but all on one line):

java -classpath=... 
-Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commons.logging.impl.NoOpLog
com.yourcompany.YourClass
