Date Tue, 07 Feb 2006 14:15:20 GMT
Hi Nick,

I have asked same type question several months back and Niall given
workaround for this. This feature is not default from commons
validator.

Please read mailing list archives for commons project around November
11th, you will find the work around.

Thanks
Siva

Subject: [validator] using submitted form value with validator

Hi,

I was wondering how to pass a submitted form value to be used as part of
a validator error message.

For instance, for the message

errors.email={0} is an invalid e-mail address.

how would one specify in validation.xml that the submitted form field
value would fill in the {0} argument.

Thanks.

      Nick
