Subject [Annoucement] Commons Math 1.1 Released
Date Wed, 21 Dec 2005 02:11:45 GMT
The Jakarta Commons Math team is pleased to announce the release of
Commons Math 1.1.

Commons Math is a library of lightweight, self-contained mathematics and
statistics components. For more information, see the Commons Math web site:

The new release contains bug fixes and enhancements. All API changes are
binary compatible with version 1.0. The enhancements include some new
probability distributions, a Fraction class, new matrix and numerical
utilities, and a PRNG pluggability framework making it possible to
replace the JDK-supplied random number generator in commons-math (and
elsewhere) with alternative PRNG implementations. A full list of
changes since the 1.0 release can be found in the change log at

Commons Math is available in either binary or source form from the
Commons Math downloads page on the Apache mirrors:

The commons-math 1.1 release jar has also been deployed to the Apache
Maven repository:
and the Maven main repository:
