Subject DBCP PerUserPoolDataSource - changing a users password
Date Tue, 11 Oct 2005 14:16:36 GMT

We are using DBCP PerUserPoolDataSource as DataSource in tomcat 5.5.

In our web application a user can change its password. When the password has been changed
the password stored in the pool is different from the users new password. Requesting a Connection
for this user by calling getConnection(String username, String password) throws an expected
exception:

java.sql.SQLException: Given password did not match password used to create the PooledConnection.

Which means the user is not able get connections to the database.

Is it somehow possible to tell the PerUserPoolDataSource about the changed password, refresh
the ConnectionPool? What can be done to solve this situation?

best regards
Andreas Kohlbecker
