Munish,

HttpClient can be configured to use SSL/TLS protocol for transport
security. 

HttpClient also supports Digest and NTLMv1 authentication schemes. Both 
schemes use a message digest algorithm to produce credentials digest, 
which is used to authenticate with the origin server.
