Unless I miss my guess, every time you get a new record for your DB, you are
creating a new XML document and running it as a Jelly script, right? Hence,
you are creating a new Stylesheet each time.

Subject: [Jelly][jsl] Compilation and reuse.

Hello everybody.

When I take a look at JSL tag lib, I'm surprised the doTag invoke it's body
each time and create again rule set.
It's not a very efficient way to get a script that can be use and reuse
several times.

What I'm searching to do it's a transformation by rule expression which can
be "compiled" one time with empty stack
and that could be run for each data set I can put in input.

The process it' always the same
- fetch data in DB
- apply complexe transformation
- put result in LDAP directory.

As I have more than 85000 record in the DB, I can't create rule set for each
doTag methode invokation (so 85000 evaluation dom4j rule creations)

Maybe I've missed a key concept in Jelly architecture, have I ?

Can somebody explain me the Jelly concept of "compilation" and "runnning" ?

THanks a lot.
