Subject RE: Error when using commons ReflectionToStringBuilder - Solved!
Date Mon, 15 Mar 2004 22:18:06 GMT
I've been running Struts 1.1 with Lang 2 (and Collections 3 for that
matter) for a month or so without incident. I would recommend doing some
regression testing before putting this configuration into production.

Solved!

The getObject method from ToStringBuilder was added in version 2.0. The
struts jars (which contained the earlier version) preceded the new
java-lang jars.

Has anyone found a way to manage these dependencies? Is it safe to
replace the jar included with struts with java-lang 2.0?

idea s?

Try using Class.getMethods to confirm that the method you're looking for

isn't there.

This has to be some type of environment issue. Download the
commons-lang-2.0 jar again and see if it makes a difference.

My guess it that the class you're using isn't the class you think it is
-- but I'm not sure why.
