Subject [Net] FTP custom put command failing
Date Wed, 25 Feb 2004 12:00:46 GMT
Hi,

I am attempting to upload files to a Tradanet server that only accepts a
custom put command using the following syntax:

put filename %senderid%recipientid%filetype%transfermode

I have tried sendSiteCommand(string cmd) and sendCommand(string cmd), where
cmd is a single string containing the put command with arguments, but the
process returns an error:

501: 501-Syntax errors in parameter.
usage: ['single' | 'multiple']

I assumed that the send[Site]Command(strArg) would not attempt to parse the
argument, so this is coming from the server, however the same command works
instantly when sent via a batch file/ftp script from the same project.

Could anyone please assist me? I am new to both Java and CommonsNet, and
have obviously missed something important.

Many thanks,
Samantha
