I guess MQSeries is not a decent JMS provider :)  Do you have any other
reccomendations or experience?

BTW strictly speaking your JMS provider should handle failure detection 
& reconnections for you! Most decent JMS implementations do this for 
you without you writing any code - maybe its time to switch JMS 
provider?
