Worth checking that you're in binary mode as opposed to text mode - that
would account for a file size change.

I'm using netcomponents to ftp a file to a remote server.  The FTP completes
successfully, but the file sent is 10 bytes smaller than the original.  It's
a 1.2MB JPEG file, and the image is distorted after the FTP (smaller files
are sent without change).  This is Unix->Unix.  A manual FTP using the Unix
command-line FTP results in the same file size at the destination.

Why would the file change size?  Is there some setting I'm missing that
would resolve this?
