 There are also three variants of the algorithm on that page: DIRECT_L_Optimizer implements
DIRECT-L by Gablonsky and Kelley, DIRECT1Optimizer changes which sides are chosen for dividing,
and DIRECTCOptimizer adds alternative ways to select potentially-optimal hyperrectangles.
