EDIT: that said, what's relevant is that the latest stable release (2.14) supports the new
client, but still contains the old code (which is deprecated in 2.14 and will disappear in
2.16). It's a compile time dependency for 2.14, but you can probably run it without the http
client 3.* jars if you only use the new classes in Jackrabbit WebDAV.
