I've uploaded this as a pull request to GitHub, to allow for easy reviewing: https://github.com/apache/commons-text/pull/20/files.

Thoughts welcome, before I commit this to master. I opted for a builder pattern, which seems
quite an elegant approach to the problem (inspired by the presence of a {{Builder<T>}}
interface in the project).
