Arthur Voigt commented on MATH-172:
-----------------------------------

Hello,
I already fixed various compilation errors. Some are still remaining because I couldn't fix
them. One is caused by the fact that "org.apache.commons.math4.ode.events.CombinedEventsManager"
doesn't exist anymore. I tried to find out how it was changed/replaced, but I couldn't find
a changelog with that info. The only thing i found out is that it has been removed in Version
2.2. Could you help me with this?
Best Regards,
Arthur

> In version 1.2 several explicit Runge-Kutta methods have been implemented which work
fine for non-stiff problems. However these methods are not suitable for stiff equations. The
implementation of an implicit Runge-Kutta method such as Radau5 would extend the functionality
of the ode package to cover the solution of stiff ordinary differential equations.
