>                 Key: CONFIGURATION-626
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONFIGURATION-626
>             Project: Commons Configuration
>          Issue Type: Improvement
>    Affects Versions: 2.0

> It is not possible to use the getArray methods in a type-safe way supporting arrays for
primitives and non-primitives. They are completely superfluous on top of it, since the normal
get() methods can simply support the array case in a type-safe manner:
> {format:java}
> String[] sArray = config.get(String[].class, "strings");
> int[] intArray = config.get(int[].class, "ints");
> {format}
> Therefore getArray should be deprecated and the implementation for get() should support
the array case directly.
