Subject [jira] [Created] (VALIDATOR-350) Should "x.root" validate as a domain name?
Date Fri, 02 Jan 2015 03:48:13 GMT
Sebb created VALIDATOR-350:
------------------------------

Summary: Should "x.root" validate as a domain name?
                 Key: VALIDATOR-350
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VALIDATOR-350
             Project: Commons Validator
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Sebb

The string "root" is currently included in INFRASTRUCTURE_TLDS with the comment: // diagnostic
marker for non-truncated root zone

This means that domains such as "x.root" are allowed.

Is this correct?
