Lutz Reder commented on IO-283:
-------------------------------

The AbstractFileComparator class in Commons IO 2.4 is not declared 'public', so the sort method
is not visible outside its package .

> Although the javadocs and source code from version 2.0 of Apache Commons makes mentions
of a sort method, the actual jar does not have the sort method that is available. It seems
that the LastModifiedFileComparator in the jar is not extending AbstractFileComparator like
it is in the source code.
