Such a discussion should usually be conducted on the "dev" ML. Please post there.
Then, when a course of action has been agreed on, specific requests can be reported here,
on the issue tracking system.

For example, we may have cubic spline interpolation on the curve and for any points outside
the curve we may wish to linearly extrapolate or we may wish to cap the value at the extreme
point.
