Subject [jira] [Created] (DAEMON-314) [daemon] feature request: jsvc stop with force option
Date Sun, 09 Feb 2014 12:51:19 GMT
Jungtaek Lim created DAEMON-314:
-----------------------------------

Summary: [daemon] feature request: jsvc stop with force option
                 Key: DAEMON-314
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DAEMON-314
             Project: Commons Daemon
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Jsvc
            Reporter: Jungtaek Lim

I have been used Apache Commons Daemon, and jsvc in product.
If we stop processes with "jsvc stop", sometimes process doesn't shutdown.

I think it's more beautiful to let parent process to force shutdown child process than kill
parent process and child process manually.

Does it make sense?
