Subject [jira] [Created] (MATH-1072) AbstractListChromosome should support a constructor that does not copy
Date Mon, 09 Dec 2013 14:40:06 GMT
Thomas Neidhart created MATH-1072:
-------------------------------------

Summary: AbstractListChromosome should support a constructor that does not copy
                 Key: MATH-1072
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MATH-1072
             Project: Commons Math
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Thomas Neidhart

AbstractListChromosome always copies the input arguments to a new list in its constructor.
At the same time, subclasses implementing newFixedLengthChromosome() create a new instance
with a new list, thus the list has to be created twice, which is inefficient.
