Subject [jira] [Closed] (LANG-904) ExceptionUtils.getFullStackTrace() not in lang3
Date Thu, 17 Oct 2013 07:47:43 GMT

]

Henri Yandell closed LANG-904.
------------------------------

       Resolution: Not A Problem
    Fix Version/s:     (was: Committer Discussion)

I'm not sure I understand - doesn't this "getStackTrace(Throwable);String" handle your needs?
Assuming you're post Java 1.3 and you're not dealing with some odd code that's restricting
the exception from printing chained exceptions.

Closing, but please feel free to open if I'm missing something.

> Method ExceptionUtils.getFullStackTrace() from commons-lang was not copied into commons-lang3.
This is useful because it gets a full stack trace as a single string. There are other methods
that produce a full stack trace, but not as a single string. Please reinstate this in commons-lang3.
