Subject [jira] [Reopened] (VFS-451) Authentication fails using private key
Date Thu, 21 Feb 2013 16:34:12 GMT

Joerg Schaible reopened VFS-451:

IMHO this change is actually wrong. The password parameter is typically used for authentication
if the password has to be sent as part of the URL. Now it is abused as passphrase for an identity

We face with this solution two problems:
# the password is still used in the URL (!!!)
# the generation of the SftpClient fails always if you have multiple identities and they do
not all share the same passphrase

Therefore we should actually rollback this change and implement a solution as proposed in
VFS-283 and reuse that mechanism for FTPS.
