Forgot to mention that we already have {{Builder}} APIs - mentioned by Tatu in the message on Jackson forum - in the {{core}} module, see the [Chains|https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/commons/proper/chain/trunk/core/src/main/java/org/apache/commons/chain2/Chains.java] class
