Apache Commons Math should run on Android, as long as you package it as a d=
ex file.
There is an exemple here: [https://www.orekit.org/forge/projects/socis-2011=

based on another Java library (Orekit), which depends on Apache Commons Mat=
h.

Can you reproduce the error with a really simple (say less than 100 lines o=
f code) standalone application that could be run both on Android from the c=
ommand line with dalvikvm (look at the exemple in the wiki page above, in t=
he "easy way" section) and on a desktop environment?
